Apogee Interactive is the leading provider of web-based energy analysis and customer engagement software for utilities. We offer residential and commercial applications that help utilities offer cutting-edge engagement tools to their customers. We serve utility companies all over North America.

Apogee is a privately held, small, woman-owned business, and we are in our 25th year. Our company is headquartered in metro Atlanta. Our team is comprised of a sales force, software developers, and administration. Currently, we are expanding our sales staff.

Job Description

The Key Account Manager will: Manage sales and relationships with assigned clients and new target accounts by establishing trust and rapport. Add value to the relationship by identifying and resolving business issues through the use and upsell of the Apogee solution.  Understand the clients' goals and objectives, create an opportunity to educate them, and demonstrate how Apogee products can facilitate meeting their objectives.  Average portfolio size is $1,000,000+.

Primary Responsibilities are:

                     Drive and close new and upsell opportunities founded on understanding business objectives.

                     Hit sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis.

                     Serve as the Apogee contact with assigned clients.

                     Conduct account review calls/meetings with a regular cadence.

                     Develop product analytics on a prescribed basis and discuss with clients.

                     Develop dossiers on assigned clients.

                     Facilitate the resolution of issues / problems as identified by clients.

                     Provide input and guidance for sales and marketing teams when assistance is needed.

                     Conduct appropriate research, attend conferences or training and participate in professional and trade organizations to stay current with the leading trends and approaches to the business.

                     Evaluate results to ensure organizational objectives are being met. 

                     Contact clients 60-90 days in advance of contract renewal to discuss renewal and adding new products.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

                       Bachelor's degree or higher in any business or engineering field

                     4-7 years of experience and competency with client services

                     Passion for excellence and desire to work with best-in-class team

                       Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills.

                       Self-motivated, team player

                       Ability to build relationships quickly

                       Ability to stay positive in a teamwork environment

                       Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products

                       High-level integrity and ability to maintain confidential information

Good to Have:

                       5+ years of experience selling to utilities

                       Experience within the energy or utility industry DSM

                       CRM experience

                       Entrepreneurial attitude with a desire to learn and continuously improve
