Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Retail Sales is responsible for executing a selling strategy in assigned retail accounts.

Successful candidates will manage key customer relationships including negotiating customer agreements that deliver against internal operating plans and customer expectations.

  • Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned accounts by using fact-based selling methods.
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
  • Develop annual promotion plan while adhering to guidelines and ensure flawless execution through consistent customer engagement
  • Make regular headquarter buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and creating fact-based selling presentations for assigned retail account
  • Analyze customer information and business trends using IRI and Nielsen to identify and expand business opportunities
  • Work closely with the Selling Operations team to improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships
  • Ensure customers are complying with contract requirements
  • Actively participate in customer payment processing including financial contracts, performance and collection
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off in accordance with policy is subject to eligibility and includes vacation, holiday, sick, bereavement and parental leave.
    • Vacation: for eligible full-time employees, a minimum of 15 paid vacation days.
    • Holidays: for eligible full-time employees, the company provides 10 paid holidays annually.
    • Sick Leave: for eligible full- time employees, 10 days (80 hours) of paid sick leave benefits are available for absences related to non-job-related injury. Sick leave benefit will be accrued during your first year at 1 day for each month worked in that calendar year.
    • Bereavement Leave:  In the event of a death of an immediate family member, full-time and part-time regular employees are eligible to receive up to three (3) consecutive working days with pay.
    • Parental Leave:  for eligible employees, the company offers paid parental leave for up to 6 weeks  to allow for a time of bonding with their newborn or newly adopted child.
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of fact-based selling experience
  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a Direct Store Delivery environment
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred
