Job Posting Title: Regional Key Account Manager, Technology

The Regional Key Account Manager (RKAM) supports Global Account Directors (GAD) both globally and in the region. The role executes the Account Plan at regional level driving the customer interaction on a day-to-day basis.

The RKAM is responsible for the daily management of one or more of DSV's Platinum and/or Gold accounts across all divisions within the assigned region in order to grow, develop and retain the business, supported by the GAD and Account Executive for senior customer dialogue and escalations.

The RKAM will leverage industry expertise and other relevant in-house capabilities to ultimately ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial - Gross profit responsibility for a Platinum and/or Gold account in the region. Maintain and develop existing account(s) with in the region.
  • Strategic - Develop and execute the regional strategy supporting the Global Account Plan, while establishing a strong collaboration with GAD and Account Executive. Leverage vertical knowledge, insights, and skills to support the account in the region.
  • Customer Relationships - Develop strategic relationships with internal, external and customer stakeholders across levels of seniority. Is the commercial single point of contact for the account on a day-to-day basis in the region. Actively search and identify opportunities in the region and engage colleagues and divisions/operations to further grow the account. Act as central escalation point for commercial, operational and contractual issues (including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Accounts Receivable (AR)) within the region.
  • Operational - Identify and support the resolution of operational challenges within the region in collaboration with the divisions (owned by the OKAM but supported by the RKAM). Define and agree on goals and KPI's for the logistics activities in line with customer needs. Motivate and drive strategic improvement projects within the region to foster an integrated supply chain.
  • DSV Collaboration - Support the GAD and coordinate with executive and operational teams across divisions and locations. Drive pipeline management including collection and maintenance of opportunities and awards in the CRM.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Working knowledge of domestic and international transportation operations, including air freight and ocean freight services as well as contract logistics.
  • Ability to understand operational requirements and develop air and ocean freight cost estimates using shipment characteristics such as weight, dimensions, origin, destination, service level, and applicable surcharges.
  • Experience collaborating with operations, pricing, and procurement teams to develop competitive customer solutions and pricing strategies.
  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret pricing models, cost structures and profitability metrics.
  • Experience in transportation technology, logistics technology, transportation management systems (TMS), supply chain visibility platforms, or digital freight solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Travel expectations 20%-30%

  •  Fluent in English
  • Spanish preferred

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in CRM and software and Microsoft office Suite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.  The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Work Hours and Environment

Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
