Key Account Director

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.
In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.
Summary:
The Key Account Director will manage and develop strategic relationships for a key semiconductor equipment customer account. Additional responsibilities include developing strategies and execution plans with objective to increase design wins and grow market share in the RF subsystem market for the managed account while leading a team of direct and matrix members. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, strong relationship management and leadership skills and a proven record of driving revenue growth.
What you will do:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow share, achieve revenue and profitability targets for assigned account.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior executives and decision-makers within key account.
  • Manage day-to-day risks and serve as escalation point for customer relationship issues balancing the "voice of the customer" with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop negotiation plans and pricing strategies and lead commercial contract negotiations.
  • Identify new opportunities for account growth, including upselling, cross-selling, and new product introductions.
  • Build and ease trusted C-suite customer relationship.
  • Mentor and develop account management team members to enhance overall team performance.
  • Lead quarterly account reviews (QAR) among your peers and management to update short-term account strategy.
  • Provide regular and accurate forecasts of revenue, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Management, Business Development, R&D and Operations to drive and align internal projects and activities.
  • Represent Comet at industry and trade events in conjunction with Marketing and Communications goals.

Who we are looking for: (Skills and Technical Qualifications)
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or technical discipline is preferred, with an MBA being highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Account Management and Sales leadership, or related fields.
  • Strongly preferred experience in the Semiconductor industry or RF Technology.
  • Solid project management and influencing skills, with strong analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen associated with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with professional-level verbal and written communication skills required to interact with customers and senior management staff.

Compensation for this sales role is comprised of both a base salary plus Sales Incentive Compensation (together, the "Total Compensation"). The estimated annual Total Compensation for this role is $280,000 to $320,000.
