The Details(Seasonal Position end of August - November)
Location: Kaiser South San Francisco
Position: Parking Attendant / Traffic Control
Hours Available to work: Monday through Friday, hours between 8am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
The Spirit of the Position:
We are hiring a Parking Attendant/Customer Service Representative to greet and create a welcoming atmosphere for Kaiser employees, patients, guests, and clients at our Kaiser-South San Francisco and Daly City locations; To help resolve inquiries and communicate in a positive and professional manner.
Principal Job Duties:
  • Welcome each patient and guest with a warm smile and offering to help him/her/them to find the appropriate destination within the hospital campus and designated parking areas
  • Travel between South San Francisco and Daly City locations as assigned.
  • Communicate verbally in a professional and friendly manner
  • Direct traffic to maintain efficient flow of car traffic
  • Provide and distribute forms, information pamphlets to patients and visitors as needed

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or related field.

Skills:
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. - Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. - Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and squat frequently throughout a shift
