Get to Know Your Team:
  • Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
  • Individuals within this job classification are accountable for greeting and directing patients, visitors and
    physicians upon their arrival to the department.
  • The unit secretary must be able to demonstrate good telephone skills and able to assist others in a courteous manner, following up on the caller's needs.
  • This individual must demonstrate the ability to process proper forms, schedule procedures, input and work on the CRT, and coordinate the desk area of the patient care unit.
  • This position performs various off unit activities, attends staff meetings, checks routine supplies and equipment and coordinates the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • The unit secretary will be responsible for: order entry via the CRT for all physician's orders on patients, general
    office duties for the unit, phone coordination and conveying overall outstanding customer service.
