We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Lead - Maintenance Technician
This role is critical to production uptime by expediting corrective action, creating optimum sequence PLC program changes, and integrating reliability solutions. (May have lesser maintenance technical skills than Maintenance Technician 4, but trains and directs Maintenance Technicians 3, 2, and 1's).
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot equipment for repairs such as: Repair or rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical controlled production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, and hydraulic drawings is essential.
  • Support production with technical services when line mechanics/technicians falter.
  • Repair equipment as efficiently and effectively as possible. Perform all duties safely.
  • Assist in or provide skills training to Maintenance Technicians 1, 2's and apprentices.
  • Practice 5S daily.
  • Responsible for new project design, implementation, and existing equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years related work experience in manufacturing, including five (5) years of electrical experience and one (1) year managing technical projects. Proficient in repairing/rebuilding hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical controlled production equipment and all shop tools.
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Physical Demands: Manufacturing environment. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. stoop and bend. Able to work in non-AC areas. Able to work weekends and night shifts.
  • Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
  • Ability to train others and certify experience for OJT Apprentice Program Students.
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic drawings is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
  • Allen Bradley/GE Fanuc PLC maintenance and programming is desirable.
  • Knowledge of plastic molding and form machine functions.
  • Familiarity with industrial products; preferably plastic manufacturing experience.
  • Troubleshooting, repair/rebuild of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to diagnose unique technical situations.
