What are Junior Web Developers?

Job description

At JFrog, we're reinventing DevOps to help the world's greatest companies innovate -- and we want you along for the ride. This is a special place with a unique combination of brilliance, spirit and just all-around great people. Here, if you're willing to do more, your career can take off. And since software plays a central role in everyone's lives, you'll be part of an important mission. Thousands of customers, including the majority of the Fortune 100, trust JFrog to manage, accelerate, and secure their software delivery from code to production -- a concept we call "liquid software." Wouldn't it be amazing if you could join us in our journey?

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to join our Marketing team who thrives on technical complexity and has a deep understanding of modern web infrastructure. In this role, you will be a key technical driver for our web presence, focusing on high-performance web experiences and seamless platform transitions. You will bridge the gap between robust backend CMS architecture and modern, responsive frontend components. Your primary focus will be ensuring our web experiences are highly performant, scalable, and optimized for both human users and modern search engines.

As a Senior Web Developer in JFrog you will...
  • Technical Migrations & Implementations: Lead complex website migrations and platform transitions, specifically from legacy systems like WordPress to modern Headless CMS environments like Contentful, ensuring zero loss in site integrity or performance.
  • Modern Web Development: Architect and build reusable UI components and interactive web experiences using React and Next.js, deployed via Vercel/Netlify.
  • CMS Architecture: Manage and optimize our CMS ecosystem, maintaining our WordPress instances while expanding our Contentful/Sanity implementation to support a modular, content-first strategy.
  • Technical Health & Performance: Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, optimizing site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and server-side rendering to enhance crawlability and user experience.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner with SEO & AEO specialists and content creators to translate brand requirements and search intent into high-quality, keyword-rich digital products.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Use analytical rigor to interpret site performance data and translate technical metrics into strategic recommendations for the broader marketing and web strategy teams.
To be a Senior Web Developer in JFrog you need...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 8+ years of experience in a Full Stack or Web Engineering role with a proven track record in complex web migrations.
  • Core Stack: Expert-level proficiency in coding responsive tech stacks like React, Next.js, and deployment workflows on Vercel. Additional tool experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, JS, PHP, or similar framework. Experience Coding for various other applications (social media, email marketing, CRM, etc.)
  • CMS Expertise: Deep professional experience with WordPress, including WordPress administration and security, and Headless CMS platforms, specifically Contentful.
  • A/B Testing Tools: Experience with common a/b testing tools such as VWO and Optimizely.
  • Additional Tools & Systems: Integration experience with marketing operations tools like Marketo. Familiarity working in common tools like Git. Managing and configuring complex systems like redirect chains through tools such as Nginx.
  • Performance Mindset: Strong understanding of how modern frontend frameworks impact SEO/AEO and technical site health.
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to interpret complex datasets from tools like GA4 and Google Search Console and logging tools to drive technical roadmaps and diagnose performance issues.  Expertise enabling tags through tag management systems like Google Tag Manager and Telium.
