Job description

Our client is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join an established, high-performing team supporting mission-critical security applications. This position will contribute to the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of applications that support essential operational functions across the enterprise.

The Junior Software Developer will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to front-end and back-end development, system enhancements, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate is a motivated developer who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new technologies, and working collaboratively in a mission-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and related technologies.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Develop reliable, scalable, and user-focused software solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve system functionality, performance, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Support modernization initiatives for mission-critical sustainment systems.
  • Lead assigned development tasks and projects while collaborating with technical leads, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues and assist with implementing effective technical solutions.

  • Experience working with front-end technologies, including JavaScript.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.
  • Must be willing to attend meetings and briefings at government locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile development team.
  • Experience using Git for source code management.
  • Experience with Node.js, AngularJS, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products.
  • Experience with NGINX/EngineX.
  • Experience with Docker, containerization, MongoDB, or cloud-native application environments.
Clearance Requirement

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
