This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a Jr. Battlespace Awareness (BSA) Operator supports 24/7 space domain awareness operations by executing routine monitoring and reporting tasks with supervision and guidance. This role maintains RSO custody and database accuracy, characterizes events of interest, and produces routine operational products aligned to established timelines and formats. The operator applies mission protection tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and escalates anomalies and indications and warnings (I&W) using defined criteria. The position contributes to exercise and real-world event support, including assembling decision-support information and assisting with checklist-based responses. The Junior BSA Operator also supports end-user testing and adoption of evolving SDA tools while maintaining strict security and data-handling standards. This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility and is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor SDA tools and threat assessments during 24/7 operations; identify events of interest and follow approved checklists.
  • Maintain RSO custody and update operational databases; validate data against multiple approved sources.
  • Produce routine reports and briefings, and provide ad hoc updates for ongoing events; coordinate content review as required.
  • Conduct initial event characterization (timeline, pattern-of-life observations, confidence factors) and recommend next steps for senior decision.
  • Support course of action (COA) development by compiling constraints, impacts, and response options for senior operators.
  • Execute procedures in response to checklist entry criteria with supervision; document actions, outcomes, and rationale.
  • Support testing and integration of developing software capabilities as an operational end user; submit trouble reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Support real-world and exercise-driven planning efforts; maintain readiness through recurring training and certification events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR no degree and 4 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
  • Experience using operational monitoring, analytics, or mission systems to track events and produce time-sensitive reporting.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 operations (watch floor, operations center, or comparable environment) and following documented procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with STK or other SDA/astrodynamics systems (e.g., ASW, ATLAS, SPADOC, or developing I&W tools).
  • Experience working with Intelligence Community organizations or joint mission partners supporting space operations.
  • Applied understanding of orbital mechanics, space surveillance, and counterspace threat concepts.

Basic Compensation:

$92,900 - $113,600

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
