JOB SUMMARY

Develops and designs software tools to facilitate data collection, data reduction and data analysis tools from data collected during operational test and evaluation efforts. Build tool interfaces capable of ingesting data from different platforms for the purpose of data comparison and analysis. Create test tool routines to perform data conversion and reduce data reduction timelines to speed data analysis and reporting. Location: Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Work on-site with government and contractor personnel to establish and document software tool requirements.
  • Design software tools which provide easy-to-use graphic user interfaces that can extract data from existing reports or from tabular data sources.
  • Develop software tools capable of correlating data, performing statistical calculations and generating an output that is man-readable and/or can be imported to MS Excel or MS Word.
  • Update/modify existing software tools to compensate for changing data and new test objectives.
  • Write documentation to record all software tool development issues and methods.
  • Assist with the development of the test approach with the purpose of performing statistical analysis to evaluate system performance.
  • Present the evaluation results to senior management and higher headquarters for review
REQUIREMENTS
  • Full-Stack Competency abilities to create and connect front-end user interfaces smoothly with backend services and database layers.
  • Version Control & Collaboration proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab for collaborative workflows and code reviews.
  • Familiarity of testing libraries like Jest, Mocha, or Supertest for unit and integration testing
  • JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Frontend experience using modern frameworks like React, Angular or Vue.js. Experience with React component libraries like MaterialUI
  • Backend experience using Node.js (preferred), Java, or Python
  • Database experience using relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
  • Practical ORM / Query Builders experience using modern Object-Relational Mappers such as Drizzle or Prisma
  • Experience in creating, documenting, and verifying software tools designed to ingest data, perform calculations, and output data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Understanding of statistics.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

4 - 6 years experience in software programing and/or software tool building.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

High School Diploma.
