Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple remodeling projects, maintain timeline, budget,

and quality standards. The role involves daily interaction with teammates, homeowners, and trade partners to complete projects on time and within budget. You are on the front lines of ensuring our clients have the very best experience while bringing their project to life. They own all job-related communication with trade partners and clients. By visiting jobsites daily, they keep a pulse on the status of the job and identify delays/issues proactively. They will utilize the support of an Assistant Project Manager as needed on their jobs while also occasionally assisting other Project Managers with other projects. A Senior Project Manager possesses leadership skills and responsibilities and is an active part in growing the junior members of the team. Position Responsibilities:

  • · Completion of daily logs in Buildertrend
  • · Build and maintain project schedules in Buildertrend
  • · Serve as an active member of the scrum team and project team by attending daily stand ups, weekly PM Meetings and other project related meetings.
  • · Responsible for problem solving on projects in construction and assisting with problem solving for projects in preconstruction
  • · Conduct routine job site inspections and visits including but not limited to cleanliness, masking/dust control, material stocking and management. Ensure trade partners are adhering to the scheduling, checking that field paperwork is updated and accurate. Interaction with trade partners onsite to answer questions or escalate for issue resolution.
  • · Conduct all critical jobsite visits including, but not limited to,:

a. Onsite client meetings

b. Building inspections

c. Meeting with Trade Partners

  • · Provide excellent client experience throughout the project to ensure repeat business and client referrals
  • · Possess an understanding of the entire home building process from initial sales meeting through final warranty administration
  • · Maintain a clean job site to the highest possible standard
  • · Possess a problem-solving outlook and the drive to bring the project in on time and within budget
  • · Utilize construction scheduling software and technology to manage multiple projects from start to finish
  • · Ability to supervise the work of others and verify quality on the job site
  • · Understanding permitting process and working with building officials
  • · Ensure company policies, procedures, OSHA, and safety guidelines are met
  • · Ability to read and understand construction drawings & specifications
  • · Create drawings and diagrams as needed
  • · Periodically perform physical tasks as they relate to site protection and cleanup, material management, and project close out/warranty.
  • · Work closely with in-house designers to ensure detailed specifications are completed in the field
  • · Accountable for proper and accurate documentation of multiple projects, including timekeeping, change orders, materials ordered, safety records, changes of scope, inspections, etc.
  • · Provide leadership and training to junior teams members such as interns, Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers on the team. Participate in quarterly conversations for junior team members when assigned.
  • · Assist in creating growth plans for Junior team members along side the production manager.
  • · Participate in PM/APM/Intern candidate Interviews
  • · Participate Trade Partner interviews and feedback meetings as required
  • · Leading and owning Rock progression of the team
  • · Can be entrusted to lead a project team through the process and be a role model for client communications, listening/questioning, and problem solving.
  • · Senior PM’s should know the Sandler techniques, radical candor, etc.. in order to set an example for other PM’s and train them
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 4-6 years of relevant experience

· 2+ years of construction experience, in the field preferred

· Ability and capacity to train junior team members

· Deep understanding of all aspects of residential construction, including complex structural challenges and a wide range of building materials.

· Strong customer service skills

· Deep understanding of core values with the ability infuse those within the field

· Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, in a professional manner

· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass a background check

· Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent 40-hour workweek

· Perform physical labor

· Proficient in Microsoft programs and construction software, i.e. Buildertrend (or ability to learn it quickly)

· Skilled at creating and maintaining daily logs and organizing paperwork for multiple projects at a time

· Ability to adjust and be flexible to sudden demands with a “go above & beyond” attitude

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Highly organized

· Accurate hour logging for job-related time is being kept daily.
