Junior software developers are entry-level positions, but as you gain experience and build up your programming skills, you will start to take on larger projects. Your job duties include attending and contributing to development team meetings, troubleshooting, patching computer code, and collaborating with other developers to create applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Junior Software Developer, and why are they important?

Regular communication within the team and a willingness to ask questions can significantly speed up the learning process and help build confidence in your role.

  • Strong attention to layout, usability, navigation, and End-user experience
  • Ability to deliver applications that are production-ready and client-facing, not prototypes
  • Documenting visual designs using iterative agile approaches
  • Displaying Mock-Ups and/or Wireframes
  • Real-Time changes to forms accommodating user requests and/or changes
  • Experience performing product demos with stakeholders

What Would Be Nice to Have:
