We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Software Developer to support mission-critical operations for the United States Air Force in San Antonio.

The ideal candidate will bring subject matter expertise in front-end development, user interface design, and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, efficient, and secure user interfaces that enhance operator experience and system usability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in front-end software development and user interface design.
  • Analyze, plan, and develop requirements documents and functional models.
  • Create technical design drawings, wireframes, and mockups for stakeholder review.
  • Design and implement modifications to GUIs and optimize UI elements for usability and performance.
  • Facilitate user-centric design practices and ensure compliance with UI/UX standards.
  • Conduct and document system tests to verify operability and compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate in Agile development environments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support DevSecOps practices and integrate with DoD-compliant toolchains.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field (Masterโ€™s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
  • Active secret or interim clearance
  • Proficiency in object-oriented and scripted languages.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, and containerization.
  • 3+ years of experience with:
  • Bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Testing web-based applications
  • Front-end web design and development
  • 5+ years of experience with:
  • Jenkins and GitLab
  • At least five of the following tools: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Agile, user-centric application design
  • Generating wireframes and mockups for multiple user personas
  • UX design tools such as Sketch and InVision
  • Cloud-based development and secure data integration
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000, with the final offer determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, and overall qualifications.
