Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Information Technology team. • Develop business logic and AI workflows using Python and FastAPI
  • Contribute to systems and performance critical components using Rust, Axum, and Tonic
  • Build reusable React components using the selected component library, including Tailwind with Radix or Fluent UI
  • Use React Query for server state and Zustand for client state while supporting the migration from legacy Apollo and Redux patterns
  • Implement real time functionality using Azure SignalR Service
  • Develop event driven solutions using Azure Event Hubs and Kafka compatible messaging patterns
  • Integrate applications with Azure Entra ID using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT standards
Technology Consolidation & Tech Debt Reduction
  • Assess technical debt, document effort and risk, and develop phased migration plans that minimize production disruption
  • Support the migration of AWS workloads to Azure, including EKS to AKS and Cognito to Entra ID
  • Help reduce KRโ€™s language and framework footprint by transitioning Ruby, Go, Node.js, Express.js, and Ember.js services toward Python, Rust, and React standards
  • Consolidate observability tools into Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure Managed Grafana
  • Consolidate security tools using GitHub Advanced Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure Key Vault
  • Contribute to retrieval augmented generation technology decisions involving Azure AI Search, HelixDB, and TensorZeroCode
Quality & Engineering Standards
  • Native testing per active language: pytest (Python), vitest/Jest (TypeScript/JS), cargo test/criterion/proptest (Rust)
  • Native linting per active language: ruff (Python), ESLint (TS/JS), clippy (Rust)
  • Author and enforce ADRs โ€” document technology choices, migration decisions, and trade-offs
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions (or Azure DevOps Pipelines where applicable)
Global Delivery Team Partnership
  • Work as a true partner with KR's Bengaluru development team
  • Participate in cross-regional agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives
  • Produce developer-facing documentation: ADRs, API references, runbooks, migration playbooks
  • Mentor less-experienced developers on the global team: code reviews, architecture Q&A, knowledge transfer
AI-Integrated Application Development
  • Integrate AI capabilities into WES, building on Azure AI Search + HelixDB + TensorZero gateway for document intelligence and semantic search
  • Contribute to prompt engineering and retrieval optimization within the application layer
  • Build React components, API endpoints, and streaming response handlers that surface AI features reliably
How You'll Stand Out
  • 5+ years production software development experience
  • Strong Python: FastAPI, async patterns, pytest, ruff โ€” production API development
  • Strong TypeScript/React: component design, React Query, Zustand, vitest/Jest, ESLint
  • Working Rust: able to read, extend, and contribute to axum/tonic services; clippy fluency
  • Event-driven architecture like Kafka
  • Identity/auth systems: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Azure Entra ID or equivalent
  • Demonstrated technical debt reduction โ€” structured migration planning and measurable consolidation
