Location: Chapel Hill, NC (onsite; transitioning to Timberlake, NC in Q4 2026)
Schedule: Full-time | Exempt
About the Role
Voltage is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead customer and internal projects from order intake through production, delivery, and close-out. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project schedules, and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality, cost, and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
  • Manage customer and internal projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate engineering releases, procurement activities, manufacturing schedules, testing, logistics, and final deliveries.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, constraints, and schedule issues.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with approved scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure accurate project records.
  • Coordinate activities across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams.
  • Track action items, deliverables, and accountability across project participants.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customers.
  • Manage customer expectations and support resolution of project-related concerns.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, resource utilization, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Support implementation of project management best practices, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators and mentor junior team members as needed.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, renewable energy, or technical environments.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • PMP certification or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Asana preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar) preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing production planning and scheduling preferred.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies preferred.
