Job description

We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to support our team's performance as a subcontractor on a prime contract. In this role, you'll manage our firms's day-to-day execution of the statement of work, serve as a liaison to the prime contractor's program team, and ensure deliverables, reporting, and compliance obligations are met on time. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their project management career to gain hands-on experience in running a project with 100 employees.


Responsibilities

•      Manage day-to-day execution of our company's scope of work under the subcontract, tracking internal deliverables, milestones, and deadlines

•      Serve as the regular point of contact with the prime contractor's project team on schedule, status, and routine coordination matters

•      Monitor our team's performance against the subcontract statement of work (SOW) and flag risks, delays, or scope changes to senior management

•      Interview candidates quickly to replace departing employees

•      Prepare reports, deliverable packages, and other documentation required by the prime contractor

•      Coordinate with accounting to ensure invoices are correct

•      Participate in regular status meetings and check-ins with the prime contractor's program office

•      Escalate scope, schedule, or budget risks to senior leadership in a timely manner


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or PMP
  • Proficient in project scheduling, communication, and time management
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and team collaboration tools
  • Top Secret Clearance preferred
  • Must be U.S. citizen
