The individual in the Programmer Analyst role is responsible for using technical skills and programming experience to define and program solutions to problems and requests of varying difficulty with minimal guidance of a Project Leader, Senior Programmer/Analyst or Manager.

Job Description

Primary position responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development of systems design for proposed systems and system enhancements. 
  • Coding, testing and documenting computer programs. 
  • Develops programs and procedures adhering to established departmental standards and guidelines under the supervision of the manager and designated senior staff members. 
  • Makes modifications and changes to existing programs and procedures as required to satisfy requests. 
  • Helps Cass keep commitments to clients with on time completion of assignments. 
  • Notifies project manager and/or manager immediately when it appears schedule dates will not be met, or if assigned project will lead to operational or support difficulties. 
  • Reports progress by updates to project control system status and time recording. 
  • Assists with production/test problems as requested. 
  • Suggests potential improvements to the processes and techniques used by IT programming that will result in improved quality and/or responsiveness for our clients.
Qualifications

Knowledge and minimum requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' programming experience is required and is able to write structured, maintainable codes. 
  • Proficiency with SQL stored procedures, table design, and general knowledge. 
  • Ability to modify and create Microsoft Visual Studio projects, including C#, ASP, and VB6.
  • Experience with SSRS
  • Experience with SSAS or SSIS would be a huge plus. 
  • A college degree is required or equivalent experience, experience with personal computers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science desirable.
