Junior Director of Tennis

Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Full-Time

Position Summary

The Missouri Athletic Club is seeking a Junior Director of Tennis to lead and grow our junior tennis program. Reporting directly to the Director of Tennis, this role oversees all aspects of junior tennis programming, including program development, coaching, staff management, budgeting, and special events. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader who is passionate about junior development and committed to delivering a high-quality, results-driven tennis experience aligned with MAC values.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development

  • Design, implement, and manage tennis programs tailored to junior players of varying ages, skill levels, and developmental needs
  • Develop and document structured lesson plans for all junior programs
  • Create a clear pathway to guide players from recreational participation to competitive play
  • Incorporate USTA, UTR, Junior Team Tennis (JTT), and local tournaments into the junior curriculum

Coaching & Player Development

  • Provide high-quality coaching and instruction with a focus on skill development, strategy, and sportsmanship
  • Teach group lessons, private lessons, and junior programs as needed
  • Meet regularly with lead coaches to stay informed on player development and lesson plans
  • Serve as a passionate and inspirational advocate for junior tennis participation

Leadership & Administration

  • Plan, manage, and perform all administrative tasks necessary for the operation of the junior tennis program
  • Manage staff scheduling, coaching assignments, and daily operations
  • Consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with MAC values
