Position Overview

A growing home care agency is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build a career in healthcare finance. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Prepare and post journal entries

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Support payroll reconciliation and expense tracking

  • Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets

  • Assist with audits and regulatory documentation as needed

  • Work closely with the billing and payroll teams to ensure financial accuracy

  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (healthcare or home care experience is a plus)

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
