Job Description

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for utilizing research skills, applying tax knowledge to understand potential tax issues, gathering financial and tax information necessary for tax filings, recognizing and communicating potential risks, preparing tax deferred workpapers and working with tax software applications to complete tax returns for review.

  • Preparation of Federal and State Income Tax Returns
  • Preparation of Tax Provision under ASC 740
  • Compile all necessary information to respond to Audit

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     Preparation of selected Federal & State corporate income tax returns;

  • Preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions from both ASC 740 (FASB109 & FIN48) and 404 control perspective;
  • Review and monitor changes in domestic tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation;
  • Selected tax research projects;
  • As needed support with IRS and State audits.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: (i.e., competency, degrees, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  • 3-5 years of Corporate or public tax experience;
  • Knowledge of ASC 740 (FASB109 & FIN48) and 404 controls;
  • Knowledge of OneSource software both compliance and provision;
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.

  • Bachelors's degree in Accounting;
