Hybrid / Remote Eligibility

This position is open to inoffice, hybrid, or remote candidates located within Kansas.
Employees working remotely must reside within driving distance of one of our office locations (Manhattan or Emporia) and be available for inperson meetings, training, and collaboration. Work arrangement will be determined based on role needs, experience level, and team collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities
  • Assist in developing effective tax strategies to support client goals and minimize tax exposure
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, staying current on tax law changes
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support, including identifying taxsaving opportunities
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to address client questions and support compliance and planning efforts
  • Assist clients in understanding the tax implications of various business and financial decisions
  • Identify potential tax risks and recommend solutions aligned with firm standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with team members and other service lines to deliver consistent, highquality client service
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and dependable execution
  • Support seasonal workflow demands, including meeting busyseason deadlines


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns,Trust tax experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient with Windowsbased systems, Microsoft Office, and tax software; QuickBooks experience a plus
