Job description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant who is a licensed CPA in the State of New Jersey to join our dynamic public accounting firm. This is an office-based role with flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax preparation, audits, and accounting services, along with strong client service skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-state, and international engagements.
Job Duties:
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, all types of business entities, gift & estate tax filings, and non-profit organizations.
  • Prepare multi-state tax returns for both businesses and individuals.
  • Handle international tax compliance matters.
  • Conduct financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Perform audits of 401(k) plans and other pension plans.
  • Represent clients in audits with the IRS and state tax authorities.
  • Manage sales tax and payroll tax compliance.
  • Provide comprehensive accounting services to clients.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a U.S. public accounting firm, with exposure to diverse audits, tax, and accounting functions.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
