Job description

Who are we hiring?

The Student Associate Motion Designer will be part of our creative team alongside motion designers, marketing designers, writers, and shooter-editors. In this role, you'll work directly with the Motion Design team to support visual content across our sports properties.

What will you do? 

  • Design engaging motion graphics for Event Presentation (In-Arena) for Knicks, Rangers, Sports Properties, and Westchester Knicks home games
  • Update recurring game day assets, version out player and alumni headshots, and create complementary graphics for video content
  • Create motion graphics across all signage sizes and specs within our arena space
  • Develop motion content for social and digital platforms across the Knicks and Rangers brands
  • Assist with additional graphic design needs as they arise
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site

What do you need to succeed?

  • A hardworking and determined attitude with a self-motivated mindset
  • Willingness to jump on any request that comes in and take ownership of your work
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with After Effects plugins
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus
  • A strong eye for design and type layout, with a sense of creativity
  • Detail-oriented

STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be an undergraduate candidate with a class status of junior or above
  • GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Must be available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (3-5 business days), in-person
