A Sr Designer at 500ยฐ is responsible for the development and design of merchandising, marketing, and promotional communications in support of our big brand, industry-leading clients. They work closely with others on the creative team, including art directors and copywriters to deliver work that aligns with client objectives and strategic direction.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Develop creative ideas, concepts, campaigns, and insights that will drive consumers to react
  • Create visually appealing and innovative design concepts/solutions to communicate the brand message across all platforms, including but not limited to print advertisements, digital ads, social media graphics, websites, email campaigns, and promotional materials
  • Will work off of client creative briefs to come up with new design strategies/ideas or refresh the current when needed; Will also be expected to look beyond the brief when necessary to independently problem-solve
  • Ensure brand consistency across all design deliverables, adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining agency quality standards
  • Utilize best practice design techniques to transform conceptual ideas into polished designs; Including but not limited to:
    • Typography, color, shape, and layout
    • Animation/motion design
    • Illustration
  • Will manage multiple projects simultaneously often on extremely tight and changing timelines
  • Collaborate and communicate design concepts with internal creative team to build a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as account service, production, and project management to ensure high-quality execution on creative deliverable s
  • Be a strong partner and influencer of the creative process
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
What You'll Need (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred; and/or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of professional design experience
  • Must have a portfolio of projects across print and digital โ€“ motion graphics a plus
  • Knowledge of the production process, including proofing
  • Expert use of Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects)
  • Experience creating presentations required (Keynote is a must-have or a must-learn )
  • Must possess a mastery of typography, illustration, color, shape, and design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; You will need to clearly and effectively articulate design thinking and creative choices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently, with little supervision
What's Nice to Have (Not required, but desired skills):
  • Prior marketing/creative agency experience highly preferred
  • QSR/food photography experience is a huge plus
  • Experience with video content creation and motion graphics are a huge plus
Physical & Travel Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Stamina to handle extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Availability to travel up to 10-15% of the year, as needed, to client locations, industry events, or other relevant destinations
