Job Summary:
The Video and Motion Graphics Senior Specialist (Specialist) is responsible for concepting, producing, editing, animating, and delivering high-quality video and motion content that advances the firm's marketing, communications, brand, business development, and recruiting goals. This role brings complex ideas to life through motion graphics, video storytelling, animated explainers, campaign assets, executive and event content, and social-first video. The Video and Motion Graphics Senior Specialist works closely with the Creative Services Senior Manager and Design Senior Specialist, industry, business line and brand and communications marketing leadership, along with BDO professionals and leadership, to develop and execute the visual elements of marketing strategies, campaigns, and presentations.
Job Duties:
  • Serves as a strategic internal design resource to marketing professionals, industry groups, and business lines with regards to integration of visual identity and marketing programs, includes media, web, promotional logo and font treatments, and training materials, as needed
  • Participates in the end-to-end production process for assigned projects, including creative intake, concept development, storyboarding, pre-production planning, editing, animation, review cycles, final delivery, and archiving
  • Leads and provides support on internal/local design projects and campaigns
  • Illustrates visual concepts by designing and refining layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
  • Employs color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various digital techniques when designing, and aligns with firm brand standards
  • Obtains approval of concepts according to national marketing protocol and defined processes
  • Optimizes video and motion assets for multiple platforms and formats, including web, LinkedIn/social, email, paid media, events, presentations, large screens, and internal channels
  • Stays current on video, motion, production, accessibility, AI-assisted creative workflows, and platform trends, and recommend practical improvements to team processes
  • Champions the BDO brand to ensure all marketing and communications reflect the Firm's messages, positioning, and visual identity
  • Develops tools and resources to communicate corporate visual identity and design processes in alignment with global standards
  • Other duties as required

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; focus in Graphic Design, Video, or Illustration, preferred

Experience:
  • Three (3) or more years of design, video, or marketing and communications experience, required
  • Experience working within a professional services environment (i.e., accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industries), preferred

License/Certifications:
  • N/A

Software:
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Adobe AfterEffects and Premiere Pro, required
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Photoshop and Illustrator required

Language:
  • N/A

  • Ability to translate complex professional services, industry, and business concepts into engaging visual narratives

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
Illinois Range: $67,000 - $73,000
Ohio Range: $64,000 - $71,000
