SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Digital Designer to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB.

Position Overview Section

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Digital Designer to support instructional, marketing, and multimedia initiatives in a dynamic Department of Defense training environment. The selected candidate will support the development of visually compelling digital media, educational content, and multimedia communications in support of mission-critical programs.

The Digital Designer will collaborate with subject-matter experts, instructional designers, and program stakeholders to create engaging graphics, multimedia products, digital signage, presentations, and marketing materials that effectively communicate information to targeted audiences.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in the inventory and maintenance of audio visual and computer-related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
  • Support the ordering, storing, coding, database entry, and disposal of audio visual and computer-related equipment.
  • Provide digital design consultation and creative support to program staff and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and instructional designers to develop high-quality visual content and graphics for instructional and marketing purposes.
  • Design and produce multimedia content using traditional and digital tools in support of USAFSAM courseware and training materials.
  • Create visually compelling digital assets for instructional, promotional, and marketing purposes including:
    • Digital signage
    • Email campaigns
    • Websites
    • Presentations
    • Multimedia graphics
  • Work collaboratively with copywriters, photographers, videographers, and project stakeholders to align visual design with communication objectives.
  • Optimize layouts and visual elements to maximize attention, readability, accessibility, and communication effectiveness.
  • Adapt designs for multiple formats including web, mobile, print, and signage.
  • Support additional projects within assigned skill sets, including:
    • Writing continuity documentation
    • Participating in local eLearning symposiums
    • Presenting capabilities to stakeholders
    • Collaborating with colleges and multi-service partners
    • Supporting special projects and initiatives
  • Support, evaluate, consult, and assist in the management of educational technology platforms and systems.


 

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in digital design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications including:
    • Premiere Pro
    • Audition
    • Photoshop
    • After Effects
    • Illustrator
    • Captivate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including:
    • Word
    • Excel
    • SharePoint
    • PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing and motion graphics development.
  • Understanding of asset preparation for web and print, including:
    • Resolution requirements
    • File formats
    • Accessibility considerations
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to achieve goals, demonstrate initiative, maintain integrity, and effectively manage complex projects.
  • Must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with employer.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies, including Tongue and Quill standards.
  • Experience working within military environments and understanding military rank structure, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience designing for digital signage systems, including screen ratios, motion graphics, and content timing.
