Job description

Senior Data Analytics And Insights Analyst

The Senior Data Analytics And Insights Analyst will lead the development of cutting-edge data models, datasets, and dashboards while mentoring junior team members and driving best practices in data analytics and insights. The Senior Data Analytics And Insights Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Operations team through the management of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, delivering actionable insights to sales and service leadership. This position is responsible for developing standardized reporting packages, analyzing performance data, and contributing to the strategic placement of agents and offices by evaluating licensing workflows and carrier product availability.

A key focus of the role includes leading the migration of dashboards to Tableau, designing user-friendly visualizations, and ensuring data accuracy across all outputs. The analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, IT, and Revenue Operations to enhance reporting structures and drive process improvements. The role requires the following capabilities: excellent communication skills, especially the ability to respectfully challenge and influence; strong problem-solving/analytical skills, strong data management skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Data Analysis & Insights:
    • Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex data models, datasets and interactive dashboards using Tableau to guide strategic decision-making.
    • Perform in-depth analyses of large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
    • Develop and present key business insights to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
    • Ensure all BI solutions align with organizational objectives and business goals.
  • Advanced Data Management & Optimization:
    • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data across multiple databases, with a primary focus on Snowflake.
    • Oversee the design, enhancement, and maintenance of data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for Snowflake, guiding the organization in leveraging it as the central data platform for advanced analytics.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Partner with business units and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define KPIs, ensuring BI solutions address key business challenges.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
    • Mentor junior BI team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Operations Reporting & Analytics:
    • Run and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly Operations reports to support all Operations channels.
    • Partner with sales and service teams to provide updates on report requests and ad hoc data needs.
    • Develop and refine standard reporting packages to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Identify trends and insights from Operations data to support strategic decision-making and enhance the agent onboarding process.
  • Licensing & Carrier Analytics:
    • Evaluate and monitor agent and entity licensing workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or improvement.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Carrier Relations teams to standardize procedures across states and carriers.
    • Analyze trends in carrier offerings and flag changes that impact agency operations or sales strategies.
    • Collaborate with executives, Franchise Development and Partnerships on strategic office placement.
    • Partner with Enterprise Sales and Service on licensing/product profiles for enhanced lead routing.
Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a BI Analyst or similar role, working with large, complex datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and data warehousing concepts, with hands-on experience using Snowflake /Databricks or other cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong background in Salesforce and Operations reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with large datasets and conducting data validation for reporting accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the insurance industry or a similar data-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Expertise in data visualization storytelling and dashboard design best practices.
  • Demonstrated Tableau proficiency via Tableau Public portfolio.
