Position Description:
Join a leading engineering services provider specializing in heavy industrial sectors, including pulp and paper, steel manufacturing, and chemicals. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead project teams in Greenville, SC. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of structural design for diverse projects, from conception through construction, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to timelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs while navigating challenging project constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage structural engineering teams across multiple projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and integrate project schedules, forecasts, and cost estimates.
  • Perform detailed structural analysis, calculations, and develop design sketches and specifications.
  • Design structural components aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare engineering scopes, proposals, and preliminary design material take-offs.
  • Review vendor and fabrication drawings for compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and review of work performed by junior staff.
  • Conduct site visits for field measurements and provide construction support as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with the International Building Code, AISC, ASCE, ACI standards, and internal design standards.

Top Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • PE license (Se or PE) is required; SE licensure preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience, including leading teams
  • Strong proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, STAAD, TEDDS
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to visit job sites and support construction activities
