Job description

Our client is growing their multi-discipline engineering practice and is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibility, technical ownership, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while working closely with clients.

This is a direct hire position for our client.

Salary: $70,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience

Location: Greenville, SC (100% Onsite)

What You’ll Do

As a PE Electrical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of electrical system design from concept through construction.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Design and engineer power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit and fault current analysis, and coordination studies
  • Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring layouts, and technical specifications
  • Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
  • Support construction activities including site visits, submittal reviews, and commissioning
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical, civil, and structural teams
  • Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight
  • Interface with clients, utilities, and vendors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable state/local electrical codes
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience a plus
  • Renewable energy systems (solar PV), generators, or UPS systems experience a plus
  • Client development or proposal writing experience a plus
