Position Summary:

Prestige Trucking Insurance is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal systems and tools that power daily business operations. This role is designed for an early‑career engineer who is eager to learn, build real systems, and grow their technical skills within a production environment. The Junior Software Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and business stakeholders to support backend services, frontend interfaces, automation tools, and internal platforms. This is a hands‑on role focused on building practical experience, learning engineering best practices, and contributing to systems that support real insurance workflows. The ideal candidate is curious, detail‑oriented, and motivated to develop strong engineering fundamentals while learning how technology supports complex business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support development of backend services, APIs, and internal tools under guidance from senior engineers
• Assist in building and maintaining frontend components and user interfaces
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following established standards
• Support basic automation scripts and small workflow improvements
• Assist with debugging, testing, and resolving technical issues
• Contribute to system documentation and technical notes
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
• Work with databases to read, write, and validate application data
• Support data accuracy and integrity within systems
• Learn and follow best practices for security, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with team members across engineering, operations, and business teams
• Participate in testing activities including unit and basic integration testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work on‑site in Tamarac, FL
