The Junior Application Developer is part of an agile development team responsible for building and maintaining enterprise software systems in the financial services and retail installment loan space. This role will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure that the development team delivers quality software solutions that meet the needs of the business and add business value.
Essential Functions:
  • Design, code, test, debug, and support Web and Winform applications using a variety of Microsoft technologies, including .Net, C# and SQL Server as well as front-end frameworks such as React.js.
  • Perform systems analysis to understand business processes and needs, and design product solutions to satisfy business requirements.
  • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications. Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
  • Support and maintain applications and systems currently in production.
  • Learn new technologies and keep abreast of existing technologies and apply these to a variety of projects as applicable. Research and evaluate a variety of software products to support business needs & initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field or other related field of study.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, especially retail installment lending.
  • Knowledge of C# programming language and/or other.NET languages.
  • Knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as React.JS.
  • Knowledge of web service concepts (REST, JSON, XML).
  • Ability to utilize serverless technologies in AWS a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server technologies and experience developing database applications using SQL server.
  • Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
