Position Summary

The Senior Pursuit Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting pursuit efforts, including complex, high-value pursuits, and driving proposal strategy for the assigned region. This role manages the full lifecycle of multi-disciplinary proposals, from kickoff through submission, while ensuring compliance, quality, and on-time delivery. The Senior Pursuit Coordinator shapes pursuit messaging, positioning, and win strategy, mentors staff, and collaborates with leadership to deliver high-quality, competitive submissions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, with experience in A/E/C proposal development, and can manage multiple pursuits in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position reports to the regional Marketing Manager.

Hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage pursuits, including large, complex, high-profile, and strategic opportunities (e.g., major infrastructure, alternative delivery, and pursuits exceeding $100M)
  • Direct all phases of the pursuit lifecycle, from strategy development and kickoff through final submission and closeout
  • Develop and implement pursuit strategies, win themes, and messaging frameworks
  • Facilitate pursuit planning meetings, including capture, kickoff, and reviews (Pink/Red/Gold Team)
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to shape technical approaches and differentiate submissions
  • Oversee proposal development, ensuring compliance, quality, and strategic alignment
  • Lead proposal production efforts, including layout, graphics, and final delivery
  • Manage multiple concurrent pursuits with competing priorities and aggressive deadlines
  • Assist with presentation preparation, presentation materials, etc.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior marketing and pursuit staff
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools, and best practices
  • Support business development efforts, including market research and positioning strategies
  • Represent JMT at local, regional, and national conferences to promote initiatives, share knowledge, and network with industry professionals.
