Job description

Role requires 3+ years of relevant experience and proven expertise in enterprise linear referencing specific to maintaining GIS datasets. Success requires advanced skills and education into the complex landscape of enterprise multi-user data maintenance.
NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) GIS Team is seeking a Specialist - Junior, that will support the long-term maintenance and enterprise integration of the client Hydrography Layer, a critical GIS dataset compiled by the client Environmental Analysis Unit over the past five years. The dataset has reached a maturity level requiring migration into the Enterprise GIS environment and ongoing operation support until ownership transitions to NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).
The primary focus is to support data migration, bulk and individual updates, QA/QC, cartography, and Linear Referencing System (LRS) tasks.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure accurate, stable, and reliable management of the Hydrography Layer within the enterprise environment.
