Position Title
Full-Time Radiologic Technology Faculty
Job Summary
This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Radiologic Technology program, combining teaching responsibilities with service as the Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator. The role emphasizes a student-centered approach that supports the success of a diverse student population. In addition to teaching and in alignment with Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) standards, this individual will organize, supervise, and evaluate clinical education and maintain communication with clinical partners. They will also monitor student progress, ensure alignment between clinical and didactic instruction and maintain required documentation to support accreditation and program effectiveness.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage multiple courses, clinical rotations, and student retention efforts.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, clinical partners, and administration to support program outcomes, accreditation standards, and student success.
  • Knowledge of current nursing practices, clinical standards, and patient safety principles, with the ability to integrate them into classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
  • Ability to supervise and evaluate students in clinical and simulation settings, ensuring safe, ethical, and competent practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in practice, education strategies, and evidence-based teaching.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and the the equivalent of three (3) years full-time clinical experience.
  • Two (2) years of teaching or training experience.
  • Graduate of a recognized JRCERT radiography program.
  • Maintain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification active registration in radiography.
  • Hold an unrestricted Illinois Medical Radiation Technologist license.
  • Meet all clinical partner requirements, including successful completion of background checks, drug screenings, current immunizations, and CPR certification as required for participation in clinical settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding education.
  • Established ability to work effectively as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and lecture for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform tasks associated with laboratory and clinical instructional activities.
  • Primarily daytime hours with some evening and weekends to support College events and initiatives.
