40 Hours/Week | 3rd shift (8pm - 630am; Mon - Thurs) No Weekends, No CallDuties:
Job Summary:
With limited supervision, executes diagnostic MRI images. Notifies appropriate people for equipment services. Keeps appropriate supplies stocked.
Job Responsibilities:
-Maintain a professional environment through a clean and orderly department, adherence
to dress code, and personal actions.
-Screens patients and check screening forms to ensure patient safety.
-When indicated by the patient screening process, assure that x-rays are taken and cleared by a radiologist prior to the MRI procedure.
-Obtain patient history.
-Assess patients for medication needs.
-Preps patients for exam, i.e. clothing change, reassurance, medication, explain procedure.
-Transports patients in a secondary capacity, when transporters are not available and dictated by necessity.
-Performs daily equipment QA.
-Monitors patients while in MRI area.
-Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and in accordance with department policy.
-Assist in other areas of Radiology as needed.
-Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases.
-Reports malfunctions and problems to the proper persons, including management personnel.
-Carries out additional duties as assigned.
--40% IMAGE QUALITY ASSURANCE:
-Produces quality images for Radiologist’s review.
-Prepare accurate records.
--10% QUALITY CONTROL IN THE WORK AREA:
-Must be able to complete QC on equipment.
-Completes QC for assigned rooms.
-Orders and restocks supplies and linens.
-Reports all equipment malfunctions to the proper personnel, Team Leader, Coordinator and Service Manager.
--25% EXECUTES PATIENT CARE DUTIES:
-Verifies patient name, DOB, and ID number.
-Verifies orders in the chart.
-Follows department protocol for all exams.
-Continuously monitors the patient through the exam.
-Maintains a safe environment for patients and self.
-Assist Radiologist with exam when necessary.
--25% EPIC/ENTERPRISE IMAGING:
-Effectively uses the EPIC and EI systems.
-Completes studies in EPIC
-Makes new studies in EI.

-Position requires ability to occasionally push/pull and lift objects 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds and greater with assistance.

-Position requires ability to constantly perform simple motor skills such as moving from area to area in the building, on campus and off campus.
-Position requires ability to frequently perform moderately difficult manipulative skills such as typing and data entry.
