About Us

We are a rapidly growing international company in need of a detail-oriented, highly accurate Junior Accountant with strong QuickBooks skills. If you excel in numbers, organization, Excel, and accounting fundamentals, this role is for you.


Position Summary

The Junior Accountant will handle daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, QuickBooks data entry, monthly financial reports, and tracking logistics/import documents. Accuracy and reliability are essential.


Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Enter vendor bills into QuickBooks
  • Write checks and enter wire payments
  • Maintain accurate AP records and support timely payments


Accounts Receivable

  • Collect outstanding customer balances
  • Send monthly customer account statements
  • Apply payments and maintain AR aging
  • Charge customer credit cards when necessary
  • Reconcile credit card processing statements


Banking

  • Deposit checks and record deposits
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly
  • Reconcile all credit card expenses


QuickBooks

  • Enter Purchase Orders (from provided spreadsheets)
  • Enter expenses, payments, credit memos, and adjustments
  • Create and maintain new product/item files
  • Generate monthly:
  • Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Balance Sheet
  • Statement of Cash Flow


Logistics & Imports

  • Track all shipments from China
  • Review import documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS codes, customs documents)
  • Communicate discrepancies immediately
  • Keep records accurate and updated in QuickBooks


Qualifications

  • Expert in QuickBooks (Required)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • 1–3 years accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with logistics/import documentation is a plus
