  • Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20.67/hr
  • 8am-5pm; MUST be able to work overtime daily and or weekends, and holidays.

What’s a typical day as Bilingual Material Proofer? You’ll be:
  • Proofing election materials for accuracy, including letter-to-letter comparison, formatting, and punctuation in English and Spanish
  • Verifying election selection codes, ballot displays, bitmaps, short names, and audio recordings for correctness
  • Performing ballot tabulation logic testing to ensure ballot counting machines are tallying accurately, including marking and testing ballots and gathering results
  • Type-setting and proofing all election material with high attention to detail
  • Updating workflow database and maintaining filing systems for Voter Information Guide documents
  • Communicating professionally with internal and external customers in both English and Spanish
 
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Are fluent in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish (must have)
  • Possess knowledge of proper English and Spanish usage, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation
  • Are detail-oriented with strong ability to multitask and work independently but also follow direction
  • Hold basic computer skills, including advanced typing speed and accuracy, and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Are comfortable working mandatory overtime, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced environment and commit to maintaining professional dress code and appearance
