JIRA Administrator & Agile Coach
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Position Summary
We are seeking a JIRA Administrator & Agile Coach to lead the modernization, standardization, and optimization of enterprise JIRA environments while driving Agile best practices across technology teams. This hybrid role combines deep technical expertise in JIRA administration with Agile coaching experience to help teams improve delivery, collaboration, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess current JIRA usage, configurations, and processes across the organization.
  • Lead the redesign, standardization, and governance of JIRA boards, workflows, and reporting.
  • Coach Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe teams on Agile principles and best practices.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, and user story development.
  • Review and maintain JIRA and Agile work management tools to support sprint execution and project delivery.
  • Identify, communicate, and help remove obstacles impacting team productivity and delivery timelines.
  • Promote continuous improvement, team accountability, and Agile maturity.
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams, products, and stakeholders.
  • Track and report key Agile metrics, including velocity, capacity, and predictability.
  • Foster collaboration between technology teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Support enterprise Agile transformation initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain product and project status reports aligned with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of JIRA administration experience.
  • 3+ years of Agile coaching or Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience establishing governance standards and process improvements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe environments.
  • Ability to influence teams and drive organizational change through Agile best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and other Agile project management tools.
  • Scrum Master, SAFe, or Agile coaching certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong reporting and dashboard development skills within JIRA.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule with on-site presence required in Richmond, VA.

Pay Details: $39.00 to $62.00 per hour
