The Trend Manager will report to the Trend Director and research and report on key fashion trends. The Trend Manager will manage the process of driving trend into assortments and interpret fashion trends into JCPenney lifestyle needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Research seasonal trend including: color, fabric, print and pattern, silhouette, and key looks.
• Works on production for seasonal trend presentation.
• Stays current on fashion trends through competitive shopping, fashion services, industry contracts, blogs, street style, etc.
• Demonstrates knowledge across Women's lifestyles and categories, including tailoring, dressy, casual and sport.
• Identifies trend and presents to manager.
• Travels domestically and internationally to find inspiration and translates information on a timely basis to present to the team.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• 4-year College degree preferred.
• Prior experience in Women's trend or design required.
• 5-7 years' experience in trend and/or design.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative nature with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to multi-task with effective time-management skills.
