  • The Bartender plays a crucial role in the onboard Beverage Svc Department ensuring that teammates in assigned bar locations act as company ambassadors, displaying a positive and professional demeanor. They drive the Service Excellence culture and platform by monitoring Bar Steward and Utility F&B Steward performance, providing guidance, and engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction with the beverage product and service.
  • The Bartender understands the setup, product, and service expectations of their area and rectifies any shortfalls that would negatively impact the guest experience. They partner with the Bar Supervisor and Bar Manager to action guest feedback and develop a plan of action for immediate service recovery or remedial improvement.
  • The Bartender oversees the execution of the guest bar and specialty coffee experience in their assigned venue, ensuring that all beverages served are visually appealing and service is in line with company standards. They prepare various cocktails and drinks according to Company standards and recipes and consistently maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked bar venue, reporting any damages to equipment, fixtures, or furnishings promptly and rectifying them in a timely manner.
  • The Bartender is accountable for all beverage stock held in the assigned location, conducting inventory accounts as directed, and helping minimize waste, neglect, breakages, and mishandling of supplies and equipment. They mentor the Beverage Svc Team through coaching, training, and ongoing development to support career progression.
  • The ideal candidate would have graduated from a recognized hotel/bar operation or bar school.
  • Two years of experience in hospitality or cruise-related bartender positions would be ideally suited to the role.
  • The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of USPH, the beverage industry, and will have a specialization in wines, cocktails, spirits and all other beverage-related products. They will also have experience in the service execution of all of the above. 
  • They will have excellent management and bartending skills, and will be able to develop and motivate and lead a large team. 
  • They will also be able to work under pressure and make decisions which positively impact the overall guest experience.
  • Finally, the successful candidate will have a good command of the English and Japanese language, both verbal and written.
This position involves regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in line with operational requirements.
