Janitorial Site Supervisor
Shift: Monday through Friday 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Job Purpose:
The Janitorial Site / Crew Supervisor serves as the lead project manager for assigned contract locations, ensuring the delivery of high quality janitorial services that result in clean, safe, and sanitized environments for our customers. This role provides on site leadership, oversees daily custodial operations, and guides assigned staff to meet all contractual scope of work requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
Reporting to the Janitorial Operations Manager and/or Assistant Janitorial Operations Manager, the Supervisor plays a critical role in customer satisfaction, workforce development, and service excellence.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Operational Leadership & Service Delivery
• Supervise daily janitorial operations at assigned contract sites in accordance with contract specifications and schedules.
• Perform hands on custodial work as needed, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, carpet cleaning, stripping, and waxing.
• Ensure all services meet established quality standards and contractual timelines.
• Perform specialized services such as floor care, window cleaning, and other designated projects as contracted.
Team Supervision & Development
• Directly supervise and support assigned employees, providing clear expectations and ongoing performance feedback.
• Train and develop staff to perform custodial duties to required quality standards.
• Foster a high performing, service driven team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Quality Control & Documentation
• Complete all required site specific tracking and documentation, including:
o Daily service checklists
o Inspections and quality monitoring
o Inventory analysis
o Employee performance feedback
• Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans to address performance issues as they arise.
Inventory & Equipment Management
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs in a timely manner.
• Safely distribute, utilize, and operate custodial equipment and materials.
Customer & Contract Communication
• Serve as the primary on site point of contact for Contracting Officer Representative(s).
• Coordinate cleaning schedules and special floor or project work with customers and internal leadership.
Additional Responsibilities
• Work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and additional hours as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience overseeing janitorial, custodial, environmental services, or facility maintenance teams.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive federal and state background checks.
  • Must have access to and be in possession of a vehicle during the entire shift to transport self and/or crew between sites in all weather conditions and neighborhoods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of multi site facilities management experience.
  • Government contracting experience.
  • CIMS certification or Lead Building experience.

Additional Requirements
  • May be required to pass a federal and/or state background/clearance check, depending on assignment.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, locations, and weather conditions.

Physical & Work Requirements
• Frequently lift, carry, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb while distributing and utilizing equipment and materials.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Operate custodial and maintenance equipment, including carpet shampooers and buffing machines.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats on a regular basis.
• Work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain a strong sense of initiative.
