Janitorial Operations Manager

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually (based on experience with sales lead incentives and retention bonuses, total earnings can be in the mid-$80,000s or higher, provided performance targets are met)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on operations leader who leads by example and is an active participant in the day-to-day success of the business. This is not a desk-only management position, we are looking for a non-nonsense professional who is comfortable working alongside the administrative and field teams to ensure operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can confidently manage client expectations, support employee needs, solve problems proactively, and meet operational requirements with minimal supervision. They possess a strong professional pedigree, take ownership of their responsibilities, and consistently deliver results through accountability, leadership, and sound decision-making.

This position offers significant opportunity for growth and is designed as a steppingstone to an Operations Director role for the right individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership, business acumen, and a commitment to excellence.

Local candidates in the West Palm Beach area are strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily janitorial operations for multiple client accounts.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and manage supervisors and janitorial staff.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained and perform according to contract specifications.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor account performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet operational and contractual requirements.
  • Manage employee performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
  • Monitor labor costs, inventory, and operational budgets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities.
  • Travel regularly to client locations under management.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding operational performance and business needs.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in janitorial/commercial cleaning operations.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on call as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Local candidates in the West Palm Beach area are preferred.
