Job description

The Assistant Custodial Account Manager supports the overall administration of custodial services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and facility appearance in a cost-effective manner. The Assistant Account Manager must maintain professionalism, assist in meeting clients' needs, and work toward achieving 100% cleanliness and orderliness across the facility. The role involves assisting in the implementation of programs, monitoring custodial operations, and consistently evaluating and improving cleaning, and operation methods.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the operation and maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies, including vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners, and cleaning chemicals, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Help manage and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies required for the facility's operations.
  • Support the direct supervision and monitoring of custodial contractors, ensuring they meet organizational standards and objectives.
  • Maintain documentation related to custodial operations, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist with supervising and managing custodial staff, including participating in the hiring, training, and development process.
  • Support the implementation of QA/QC processes to uphold custodial best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in conducting infrastructure assessments to maintain optimal cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Exhibit leadership behaviors by upholding safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Assist in delivering UG2's commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Help develop and implement custodial programs that align with client and customer expectations.

Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in custodial operations or management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of floor care and Janitorial practices and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, clients, and customers at all levels.
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and meet commitments.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent changes or unexpected events.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending and repetitive movement.
