Incentive pay for physical readiness Lateral Transfer: . Starting pay up to $32.71, depending on years of service; lateral benefits may also apply. Applicants must be available to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays

This schedule allows for every other Friday-Saturday-Sunday off. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: * Supervise Jailers and jail staff * Organize and train Jailers and jail staff * Maintain the smooth operation of the jail and related functions * Report to the Jail Lieutenant on a regular basis with problems and concerns. * Directly supervise assigned shift when Sergeant is off and back up the Sergeant.

* Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Train employees. * Plan, assign, and direct work.

* Appraise performance, reward employees. * Address complaints and resolve problems. * Maintain safety, security and discipline in the Jail, intervene to stop disturbances, conduct searches and inspections, surveillance of all inmates, * Take custody of and release inmates * Prepare reports and other paperwork.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Education Requirements: . High School Diploma or equivalent . Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience .

Once hired, must be capable of completing LESB Jailer certification and maintain appropriate 24-hour recertification requirements. . Once hired, may be required to attend a supervisory training course Additional Qualifications: .

Minimum age: 20 . U.S. citizen (per Wis

Stats. 66.0501(2)) . Strong working knowledge of Wisconsin Statutes relating to Prisoner Incarceration and Wisconsin Administrative Code DOC 350

No unpardoned felony convictions, nor any offense that could be punished as a felony in Wisconsin . No misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence as defined in 18 USC 921(a)(33) or domestic abuse under Wis. Stats.
