The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems across ITEX's portfolio. - Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated components, including air handlers, furnaces, compressors, condensers, thermostats, and ductwork.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize system efficiency and prevent breakdowns.
- Respond to service calls promptly and troubleshoot issues related to heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability efforts by recommending system upgrades or operational improvements.
- Assist with HVAC system start-ups, shut-downs, and seasonal adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with property management teams, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
- Report equipment deficiencies and major repair needs to the Director of HVAC.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in good working order.
- Perform brazing and welding tasks as required during the installation or repair of HVAC components.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and HVAC codes
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools, gauges, and hand/power tools
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and climbing
- Ability to work in confined spaces, rooftops, attics, and mechanical rooms
