Job description

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
The Information Technology Specialist Installs, maintains, and supports workstations, printers, network equipment, telecommunication equipment, and other electronic devices. Installs and supports applications used on Stoughton Health (SH) workstations and servers. Assists in providing secure and reliable network, voice, and data systems. Provides user training to optimize the utilization of resources.


Position Requirements:

  • Required: Associate Degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Professional Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Information Technology using similar systems or applications as used at Stoughton Health (e.g. Microsoft Windows OS, Windows Server OS, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange Server, basic Networking and IP Telephony)
  • Special Requirements: Proof of Auto Insurance
  • Computer Competency: Advanced Computer competency skills are expected for this position. All Stoughton Hospital employees have e-mail access, and many use a PC to send and retrieve work e-mail; reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate effectively with employees, other departments, and medical staff
  • Install and maintain software on servers, workstations, printers, and other electronic equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with user access and use of information system resources
  • Identifies and resolves Operating System and application problems, using vendor support. Identifies and resolves problems affecting network performance
  • Suggest positive ideas for improvement with the IT department and or the organization

Work Shift:

  • Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
  • 40 hours per week
  • Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday
  • Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Weekend and Holiday call rotations
  • On Call 1:4 IT to support critical help desk issues at night and on weekends
