An IT Technical Architect II is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of the organization's technical solutions and will serve as the technical expert on solution design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs. The IT Technical Architect II works closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and IT development and operations teams to develop, maintain, and enhance our enterprise architecture. Critical for success is a deep understanding of enterprise-level software development, infrastructure, and security, as well as experience with modern technologies, public cloud platforms and industry best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills are key. Must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Design expertise with isolated, privatized cloud solutions, gov-cloud experience a plus
  • Multi-Cloud architectural experience (Hybrid, Mesh, Data Portability, Service Portability, Resilience)
  • Cloud networking, software defined networks, and SD-WAN design/implementation experience
  • Identity and access management leader in public cloud space (MG, RBAC, Control Tower...)
  • Expert level scripting and automation abilities (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef...)
  • Strong documentation and project management skills (design, execute, maintain)
  • Ability to design and communicate architecture and risk postures to others
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; and 4-6 years of experience as an IT Technical Architect or similar role, or an equivalent combination
  • Experience with enterprise-level infrastructure design, security, and performance best practices
  • Experience with project management and life cycle management methodologies

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with IT service management methodologies, such as ITIL
  • Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture
