Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Systems Support Specialist to provide continuous IT systems support aligned with Integrated Product Support (IPS) services for the Apache Attack Helicopter (AAH) Project Office (PO). This position supports the development, production, fielding, and sustainment of the AH-64 Apache and its associated systems, ensuring lifecycle planning, optimization, and troubleshooting of mission-critical IT infrastructure. 

The IT Systems Support Specialist will deliver solutions for facilities, hardware, software, documentation, manpower, and personnel systems. Responsibilities include managing information assurance (IA), lifecycle IT systems planning, and integration to enable mission-ready systems that align with operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Lifecycle IT Systems Management:

  • Identify, plan, and recommend IT systems continuous support solutions for facilities, hardware, software, documentation, manpower, and personnel systems necessary for mission-critical planning and management. 
  • Deliver IT lifecycle support tailored to operational goals and adjustments as system requirements evolve. 
  • Perform engineering and development tasks to support IT system sustainment efforts across all lifecycle phases.

Mission Readiness & Optimization:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Apache weapon system IT hardware and software to minimize downtime and ensure seamless performance. 
  • Offer detailed analyses to preempt and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks that could affect readiness. 
  • Ensure integration of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and maintain compatibility with Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS).

Information Assurance (IA):

  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance by adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) and Army policies for information assurance. 
  • Work with government stakeholders to verify proper Communications Security (COMSEC) software deployment on AH-64 hardware.

Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation:

  • Collaborate directly with government representatives, technical support teams, and contractors to deliver IT systems planning and manpower solutions. 
  • Contribute to development and updates of IT documentation, resource needs reports, and mission-aligned recommendations.

Training Support:

  • Analyze computer resource requirements to support training courseware development, hosting, and delivery for field and operational readiness.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Active Secret clearance required. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • 8+ years of professional relevant experience, with at least 2+ years working with Aviation and automation, or intelligent systems. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT systems continuous support and lifecycle management operations. 
  • Prior experience troubleshooting and maintaining mission-critical systems, both hardware and software. 
  • Familiarity with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and integration with Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) like SIPRNET. 
  • Knowledge of DoD information assurance policies and cybersecurity operational requirements. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify system gaps, mitigate risks, and optimize infrastructure solutions. 
  • Ability to plan and recommend manpower and personnel requirements for sustained IT operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AH-64 Apache lifecycle sustainment operations. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Army data systems like Vantage. 
  • Experience in network validation, configuration audits, and IT resource allocation analysis. 
  • Proficiency with XML-based software platforms like Arbortext, used for enhanced systems documentation and reporting.

The target salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances. 

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances, due to the nature of the work.
