We are looking to add an Information Technology (IT) Systems Administrator II to our team. In this position, you will be the face of the IT department for our Colorado office. You will interact with staff of all levels, from onboarding new hires to assisting seasoned engineers. Responsible for IT systems, including hardware management, user support, administration, software licensing, compliance with federal standards, and implementing IT processes and procedures. Daily responsibilities include upgrading and maintaining data management systems, choosing computers and hardware upgrades, setting up new users, maintaining the local servers, and assisting users with IT tasks and issues. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, articulate, flexible, quick to grasp business needs, a team player, an excellent written and oral communicator, and eager to learn.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build, deploy, and administer Windows and Ubuntu desktops, laptops, servers, and lab systems, including virtual machines.
  • Support Windows and Linux machines in an Active Directory environment.
  • Manage network and online file storage.
  • Respond to issues in a timely manner via our ticketing system.
  • Maintain hardware, software, and licensing inventory and baselines.
  • Configure and maintain conferencing A/V setups and digital signage.
  • Keep documentation up to date.
  • Identify software and infrastructure needs and suggest solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate information technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with the administration of both Windows and Linux systems.
  • Good base knowledge of networking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency with Ubuntu, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 & 2022, VMware ESXi, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, WSL, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with automated management tools.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Implementing government standards and requirements for IT systems (e.g. NIST 800-171, ITAR/EAR).
