Job description

West River Health Services is seeking an Information Systems Manager to lead and oversee all hospital and clinic information systems in support of high-quality, efficient patient care. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the design, maintenance, security, and optimization of information systems across the organization, ensuring alignment with operational goals and regulatory requirements.
The Information Systems Manager provides leadership for system operations, infrastructure, and staff, including network management, software applications, system security, disaster recovery, and budgeting. This position works closely with executive leadership, clinical departments, and external partners to evaluate system needs, implement improvements, and ensure reliable, secure technology that supports clinical and business workflows.
Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) is essential, and experience participating in or leading EHR implementations, upgrades, or system conversions is highly recommended. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing for and supporting the selection, implementation, and optimization of a new EHR system, including staff training, workflow redesign, vendor coordination, and change management.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing healthcare information systems in a hospital or clinic setting. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a rural healthcare environment.
Normal working hours: 8am-5pm
Starting salary range: $34.37-42.39
