Job description

This position is in support of a proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award. While this is not an immediate opening, we are proactively identifying qualified candidates for anticipated roles expected to begin around August. Candidates selected for this effort will be contacted as the program moves forward.

We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Systems Administrator to join our team and support mission-critical programs through strong security practices, collaboration, and attention to detail.
Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support the operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise IT systems in a mission-driven environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and operating efficiently, while also supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and helping implement technical solutions. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and enterprise IT partners to maintain system integrity and support ongoing cybersecurity and compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & IT Support
  • Administer and maintain IT systems, including:
    • Workstations (e.g., laptops)
    • Operating systems
    • Applications and software licenses
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system and user issues
  • Support unclassified IT environments and virtual meeting capabilities
  • Facilitate service desk requests such as:
    • Account access
    • Data transfers
    • System support requests

Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Support and maintain compliance with cybersecurity and information assurance requirements
  • Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities
  • Assist with compliance assessments, audits, and remediation efforts
  • Support ongoing Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and documentation
  • Ensure systems meet required security standards in coordination with enterprise IT and cybersecurity teams

Systems Monitoring & Performance
  • Monitor system performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain and update IT inventory and asset tracking systems
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support oversight, compliance, and risk tracking
  • Identify system gaps and recommend improvements

Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes
  • Translate user needs into technical requirements and recommend solutions
  • Support development of technical documentation and system configurations
  • Assist with plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms) to address system and security gaps

Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with enterprise IT organizations (e.g., CIO teams) to ensure:
    • System compliance
    • Security accreditation
    • Integration with broader IT infrastructure
  • Support continuous improvement of IT services and system capabilities

Required Qualifications
  • Education & Experience (one of the following):
    • Bachelor's degree in:
      • Information Technology
      • Computer Science
      • Cybersecurity
      • Computer Engineering
      • Information Systems
      • or related field + 3 years of relevant experience, OR
    • High School Diploma + 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in:
    • IT systems administration
    • Cybersecurity compliance
    • System troubleshooting and user support
    • Incident response
  • Certification:
    • Security+, CISSP, or equivalent

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting IT systems within:
    • Intelligence Community (IC) environments
  • Familiarity with secure and regulated IT environments

Clearance Requirement
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
